About Us

My name is Michael D'Cruze and I, with a great team, run a photography company based in Northern Ireland.

I was born in Wimbledon, South London and now live in the picturesque village of Moira, Co Down.
My favourite aspect of photography is portraiture.
Whether I am photographing a school full of children, a newborn baby, several generations of a family
or children visiting our Santa Grottos, I love the idea of creating an everlasting memory. We have now embraced the technology known as Augmented Reality.  "AR" allows us to bring photos to life, a bit Harry Potter-ish, by just placing your phone or tablet's camera over a still picture and watching it come to life. We call it Unlocking the Magic.
I've been behind a camera for over 30 years and yet I'm still learning new things as the digital age progresses. Who said "you couldn't teach an old dog new tricks"!

However, in my spare time I enjoy the challenge of night photography.
If someone has spent the time and effort designing lights to enhance a historic or interesting building or place
the least I can do is to try and capture their hard work.

My company, MDPICS, photographs schools, nurseries, families, family occasions,
promotional and seasonal events. We are proud to have watched a generation of children start in Primary school and grow into fine young adults.  

As a photographer I enjoy working closely with my clients to create memories and our new AR app enhances those memories.
Photography isn't just a job it's a passion.
